Ft Pierce to West Palm 12/8/2017

Left our anchorage at 7:35 and went in to Harbourton Marina to get diesel, pump out, water and walk Beamer. It was a little grey but is suppose to get sunny and hot. On the road at 8:15 heading to either Lantana or West Palm, whichever we make before dark. The weather was beautiful, sunny and hot and as we were motoring past Jupiter Lighthouse Michael heard the sailboat ‘Imagine’ signaling for a bridge opening a few bridges ahead of us. It was our friends from NJ Michele and Steve Legge! They had to wait for a bridge which allowed us to catch up and motor alongside them. They are headed to Lantana but when we had to wait 45 min for a bridge in Palm Beach because the Pres was in Fl we decided to anchor in West Palm Beach which was a good idea because the town had all sorts of festivities. Now being it is Friday we had to have pizza. Michele and Steve rode in with us and we went to Noco’s Italian restaurant for pizza and what a pizza it was, thin delicious crust margarita pie...excellant

This day we just forgot about this bridge and couldn’t pick up enough speed to make the 4 o’clock opening. Hence, we arrived at the anchorage in the dark. Cocoa Village bay front got destroyed in this last hurricane, taking out the dock and also the dinghy dock and closing the park. We snuck in with the dinghy and tied up to a concrete all to get Beamer to shore and when we got to the end of the park it was all gated with a small walkthrough out. Out to the beautiful community park and shopping area we went, walked around a bit to let Bea
